An Olympic Loss for Industry

Submitted by admin on Tuesday, 19 August 2008No Comment

Though some industries, such as the tourism industry mentioned previously, got great opportunity during the Beijing Olympics, it has been argued by many people that there are great loss for industry at the same time due to the strict limits on production during the Games across the Mainland.
Leaving the costs of different organizations across the nation due to the volunteers training courses in the past one-year, there are many other aspects calling for our attention.
For example, in an effort to clear Beijing’s murky skies for the 10,000 athletes and half-million foreign visitors expected for the Olympics, broad restrictions are ordered on much of the capital’s industry.
Strict limits on the number of cars on the roads are imposed during the Games. Many companies are suffering from the stock problem due to the transportation or delivery problems.
And the industrial shutdown or curtail output is likely to extend to a broad swath of northern China and other Olympics venues such as the industrial city of Shenyang, where some soccer matches will be played, and the port of Qingdao, home to sailing events.
