Edinburgh International Festival
The festival is still on. The city of Edinburgh is still in its deepest craziness, with the large amount of happy people enjoying themselves across the city.
The Edinburgh International Festival was founded in 1947 in the aftermath of a devastating war, as an optimistic expression of what Europe could be. The festival owes its origins to an imperative to rebuild a sense of community in a continent which had torn itself apart; to restore hop e to shattered lives through arts. Now, it is an annual feast of classical music, opera, theatre and dance. There are many famous shows highlighting the festival every single day, such as the Military Tattoo, the Royal Mile Parade, the large amount of different shows in the Festival Theatre and so on.
My favorite part of the festival is the daily events on the Royal Mile. You can see a lot of people dressing up in various weird costumes for photo shootings. You can see different kinds of street opera shows. You can even enjoy a life musical by the café. You can get colorful posters and flyers everywhere. You’ll never get tired of all these lovely street performance.
It’s a good time to join the crazy crowd for fun! I hope you will chart your own way through this festival and create your own happy journey!
