This cute heart shaped Croatian island, lined on every side with golden sands, is located in Zadarski Kanal (Zadar Channel) between Zadar and Island of Pasman.
The 130,000 square yard islet of Galesnjak came to prominence after its unusual shape was highlighted on Google Earth. The private island is now known as Lovers’ Island.
Even the owner of the uninhabited island didn’t realise how perfectly heart-shaped the island off the Croatian coast was until he was swamped with requests from couples for permission to stay there. It seems that many lovers from all over the world think it is the ideal spot for a romantic Valentine’s Day break. The owner has told that, however, there is actually nothing at all on the island.
