Making Plum Sauce by Yourself

Submitted by admin on Tuesday, 16 December 2008No Comment

Plums can be enjoyed with savoury dishes. For example, it could be made into plum sauce to be served with cakes.
First of all, stone and roughly chop 400g plums. Then, put them into a pan with a 2cm piece of root ginger, grated, 2tbsp sweet chilli sauce, 1tbsp light soy sauce, 3tbsp light soy sauce, 3tbsp lemon juice and 2tbsp redcurrant jelly. Cover it and simmer gently for about 10 minutes. Last but not least, uncover and simmer for 10-20 minutes, stirring often until it’s thick.
Serve the plum sauce with duck or pork will be wonderful.
