Return from the Trip to the Isle of Skye
Just got back home from a few days’ trip in the Scottish high land, exhausted but very happy. Michaela said that it’s been raining in Edinburgh since we left. We’re lucky that we got nice weather in the high land.
Being the home to ancient Gaelic culture and traditions, with a romantic legacy from the days of Bonnie Prince Charlie and Flora Macdonald, the Isle of Skye is an extremely nice island. It is well worth a few days’ visit, whether as part of a Highland tour or an escape from the hurly burly of modern life. In my opinion, everywhere on the island is fabulous surprise for a Photography Enthusiast.
The boat trip for seeing the colony of special white seals in the bay of Elgol is a great experience and puffins are cute as well. The small village at the seaside is so quiet and pretty, luring people to stay, forever and ever more. The lovely cottage, the lazy sheep and white horses on the green mountain side along the wonderful beach make up a breath-taking view in golden sunshine.
And the people we meet here are extremely nice, for example, the owner of the lovely B&B we stayed for the night, the cashier in the shops helping us to find toothbrushes and toothpaste at around 10 when the shop is actually closed, and the guys who gave us a ride to Broadford when we missed the last bus of the day etc.
All the things together, make it a wonderful trip.
Shame that we dun got enough time to travel all around the entire Skye. A lot of great place of interest such as Portree is left behind. But I’m planning to go back soon. Though it’s really far away and troublesome to get to, the great view worth all the suffering. But, now, I just feel sooooo good to be home to have some real rest.
