Royal Academy Summer Exhibition returns this summer for its 242nd consecutive year as the Royal Academy presents around 1000 works of art at central London’s wonderful Burlingtom House in Piccadilly. The exhibition, which has been the largest open art show in the world, will open until August 22nd.
This year the selection committee received more than 1100 entries from members of the public and high-profile denizens of the art world alike, and the selection process enures that the artist behind a work is not known until after judging.
