Screamers
Screamers is a 1995 dystopian science fiction horror movie, which was based on the short story Second Variety by Philip K. Dick. It was directed by Christian Duguay, starring Peter Weller, Roy Dupuis, and Jennifer Rubin. And it was released in the US in 1996.
Part two of the movie—Screamers: The Hunting, was directed by Sheldon Wilson, starring Gina Holden, Jana Pallaske and Lance Henriksen, released in 2009. While the original movie was slow for a science fiction action film, in “The Hunting”, with action-heavy space marines versus robots, the story elements fall short.
With little investment in movie producing, all the scene looks pretty cheap. But it still make for a light, easy popcorn scifi movie for killing time during night.
