Stone of Destiny

Submitted by admin on Wednesday, 3 June 2009No Comment

The 2008 British-Canadian adventure and comedy movie was also called as the Stone of Scone. It was written and directed by Charles Martin Smith, with Charlie Cox, Kate Mara and Billy Boyd.
There is much controversy over the issue of the Stone of Destiny. A lot of people believe that the Stone was never taken to England, but actually remained in Scotland, while King Edward was led to a fake. The plot of the movie is based on the version of the return of the Stone of Scone on Christmas Day. It is a story about the passion of youth and the universal theme of the underdog triumphing over the establishment.
The movie has an enjoyable Ealing comedy style caper with absorbing story telling and perfomances. It is full of emotion, humor, action and the suspense of a classic heist movie.
