The 2008 computer-animated film was directed by Sam Fell, Robert Stevenhagen, starring Matthew Broderick, Dustin Hoffman, and Emma Watson. The film is narrated by Sigourney Weaver and released by Universal Studios
It tells the story about a tiny brave mouse in a castle, who is the only mouse to survive his birth in his mother’s litter. After reading a story in book about a knight saving a princess, he falls in love with the princess. As he spoke to the princess, he was brought to trial before the mouse council and sentenced to the dungeon.
The plot is based on the 2003 Newbery Medal winning children’s fantasy book of the same name written by Kate DiCamillo. However, the movie did not follow the book at all. But it’s still a good choice for night entertainment for children and adults alike.
