Travel to Lake District

Submitted by admin on Wednesday, 13 May 2009No Comment

The beautiful lake district in northwest England is bursting with culture and fascinating little gems for the tourists to explore. For the people who are planning to go to the lake district. Here is a recommended route.
First of all, the lovely towns of Kendal and Ulverston could be your first two stop on the way. Grasmere, Ambleside and Windermere are small towns set in the heart of the Lake District National Park, surrounded by beautiful lakes and fells. The scenery is stunning. They are definitely a must. And there are great amount of hotels and B&Bs with fabulous views in this area.
Summer is the best time to enjoy the beauty of lake district. You’ll find half of the population in the UK have gone there.
Top tips, do remember to book accommodation in advance during public holidays, especially on Easter!
I have experienced the horrifying nightmare of rushing to lake district during the peak period without booking rooms ahead, ended up spending 5 hours walking into every hotel and B&B in Windermere, Ambleside, and Grasmere, trying to find rooms. Almost each reception told me that it is impossible to find accomadation in Lake district on that very day.
