What is The Healthiest Way to Eat Vegetables?

Submitted by admin on Sunday, 22 March 2009One Comment

The Food Standards Agency believes it’s important to get your five-a-day in whatever form: raw, cooked, fresh, frozen or canned. but cooking vegetables for too long can destroy nutrients and scientists believe they leach into water too. So the best methods are steaming in covered pots, stir frying or roasting, whole with skins on where possible. Thought if you do boil them, don’t waste the water. Use it for soups and gravy instead!
