Y: The Last Man is a comic book series by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra.
It tells a tale about the last man to survive the mysterious simultaneous death of every male mammal on Earth. A plague simultaneously kills every mammal possessing a Y chromosome, ranging from embryos, fertilized eggs, to even sperm. A young amateur escape artist, and his Capuchin monkey Ampersand, are the only exception. The entire world plunged into chaos as infrastructures collapse and the surviving women try to cope with the loss of the men.
The comic book series was published in sixty issues by Vertigo, and collected in a series of 10 paperback volumes.
